Prototype Introduction
The Allard Vertical Axis Wind Turbine is an alternative sail-powered electric generator, which has potential for low cost and high performance.
The production prototype is being built at the University of Massachusetts' Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Fall River.
It is a human-scale practical device that literally requires only “two guys and a ladder” to build and maintain.
